With “Untitled (Series 1),” I delve into the sculptural essence of the human form, drawing parallels with the ancient Roman statues that have captivated us for centuries. Shot on 35mm film, this series is a celebration of the body as a work of art and a tribute to the enduring legacy of classical sculpture.

Inspired by the stoic grace of marble and stone, the images are a study in form and texture. The application of make-up to mimic the texture of stone is not merely a visual trick; it’s a transformation that elevates the body to a sculptural entity, echoing the masterpieces of a bygone era.
